Songfinch and Songlorious start at almost the same price, around $180, but they are not the same product. Songfinch connects you with a human artist who writes and records your song, with no AI, in 7 days as standard. Songlorious pairs in-house songwriters and producers with real singers' voices and AI-assisted production tools, and delivers in 1 to 4 days.
A word on who is writing this. Tubissime is a third custom song service, so we compete with both and we are not neutral. To keep this fair, every fact below comes from the two companies' own public pages as we read them on 30 October 2026: Songfinch's home page, product page and "How it works" FAQ, and Songlorious's About page and its FAQ. We did not order from either. Delivery times are the ones they advertise, prices stay in dollars, and anything we could not find on their pages is marked as such rather than guessed.

Who makes the song: human artist or technology-assisted
This is the real difference between the two, more than price. Songfinch is a marketplace of artists: it claims more than 1,000 musicians on its roster (1,500+ in another section of the same page), and says "A real musician writes and records an original song about your story". You browse artists, listen to their past songs, pick one and message them during the process. Its pages are explicit: "Real, professional artists. No AI. No templates."
Songlorious describes itself as "human-led, artist-driven, and technology-assisted". Its songwriters write the lyrics from your story, then producers create the song "using a mix of generative technology along with real voices", and a producer mixes and masters it by hand. Its FAQ says it uses "AI-assisted tools" in production, and that the voices in its catalogue "are based on real human singers" who are paid and whose voices are used with permission. You choose a genre, a mood, a length and a voice.
So if "a person sang this for me" is the whole point of the gift, Songfinch matches that promise word for word. If what matters is a human-written story with a polished sound at a set price, Songlorious is built for that. We weigh the two approaches in more detail in AI or musician for a custom song.
Songfinch vs Songlorious cost
On entry price, the two are level. Songfinch's home page says "starting at $179", its product page "$179.99" and its FAQ "start at $199.99 USD": three figures on the same site on the same day, so we quote all three. The artists featured on its home page ranged from $179 to $1,099: the price depends on the artist you pick. Payment in four interest-free instalments is offered.
On Songlorious's pages, price follows the length of the song. Its FAQ gives two-minute songs from $180 and three-minute songs, "our most popular option", from $250; its About page also says "Starts at $180". Prices move: when we read the same FAQ on 17 October 2026, two-minute songs started at $200. In practice the comparison is simple: a short song costs about the same at both; for a longer song, the price climbs with the length at Songlorious and depends on the artist at Songfinch. Rush delivery is extra at Songfinch, and the price of the next-day option at Songlorious was not shown on the pages we read.
Delivery time
Songfinch: "our standard delivery time is 7 days", and at checkout you choose a date between 1 and 7 days; select artists deliver "in as little as 24 hours". Songlorious: your song is ready "by the date you selected! (1-4 days)", with a next-day option advertised. If the party is next weekend, both work. If it is in three days, Songlorious's standard window fits more easily; at Songfinch you would need a rush or an artist who delivers fast.
What you get, and what you can change
At Songfinch you download the finished song from its song page, where you can also read the lyrics and learn about the artist. During creation you review draft lyrics and can message the artist. After delivery, its Lyric Assist Tool includes up to 5 lines of lyric changes and unlimited mispronunciation fixes; anything bigger is quoted separately. Paid add-ons include release on Spotify, a photo slideshow, a 7-inch vinyl and a QR poster.
At Songlorious your song appears in your Dashboard, where you follow its progress and listen once it is finished. You can supply your own lyrics (it asks that you own them), it does not do covers or parodies, and its standard licence covers personal use, such as family events and weddings; a commercial licence is sold for brand, business or public events. The pages we read did not set out its revision rules, so we leave them out of the comparison rather than guess.
Reviews: what each one says about itself
Both display strong ratings, and both figures are self-reported. Songfinch claims more than 25,000 verified five-star reviews "across Google, TrustPilot, The Knot, and other trusted sites" and more than 400,000 songs. Songlorious shows 4.9 out of 5 "from 9,000+ reviews", more than 300,000 songs delivered and a deal struck on Shark Tank. We have not audited either number. If reviews decide it for you, read the recent ones on an independent platform, sorted by newest, and look for complaints about delivery dates and changes.
Which one should you choose?
- Choose Songfinch if you want to pick a specific human artist by ear, you have about a week, and a song with no AI in it matters to you. Budget from $179, up to $1,099 among the artists featured on its home page.
- Choose Songlorious if you want lyrics written by songwriters, a real singer's voice and a professional mix, delivered in 1 to 4 days, at a price set by length: from $180 for two minutes, $250 for three.
- Look elsewhere if the occasion is tonight, or the budget is well under $100: neither is designed for that.
That last case is where we fit, said as plainly as the rest. Tubissime uses a music AI, so it is not a human artist: you read and correct the lyrics for free before paying, and get two full tracks set to your lyrics in a few minutes, for €5, €8 or €13. You can listen to a full Gold Record song or browse our custom song examples before deciding. Our one-to-one comparisons are in Songfinch alternative and Songlorious alternative, and the wider market in the best custom song services.
