Get a song written for someone: price, timing and steps

You want to give a song written for one person only, with their name, their quirks and the story the whole family still tells. You cannot write verse or compose music, and that is fine: that is exactly why people get a song written.

This guide answers the four questions everyone asks before they commission a song: what you get, what you need to provide, how much it costs and how long it takes. With dated figures, and the cases where a human artist is still the right call.

What you get when you have a song written

A full song, not a ready-made chorus with a name dropped in. The lyrics are written from what you tell us, then sung over real music, in the style and language you pick. At Tubissime, one order gives you:

To hear the result before you decide, listen to the full Gold Record demo, karaoke included, without creating anything or paying.

What you need to provide

Three things are enough, and none of them takes writing talent.

The name, and what people really call them

The name of the person being celebrated, plus the nickname if there is one. A song for "Granny Jo" does not sound like a song for Josephine. Check the spelling: it is the most-sung word in the track.

The occasion

Birthday, wedding, retirement, new baby, hen party, Christmas: the occasion sets the tone. You do not sing a grandmother's 80th the way you sing your best friend's hen night.

The story

This is where it all happens. Tell it as you would to a friend, in a few lines: their passion, their lovable little flaw, one precise memory with a place and a detail. "She loves travelling" gives you a vague verse. "She missed the train to Lisbon and ended the night singing with the ticket inspector" gives you a chorus the whole table sings along to. Three concrete stories beat a page of adjectives.

You also pick the style, out of six (disco, international pop, rap, rock, ballad, dance soul), and the language of the song, out of seven. With The Platinum, you add a second style and up to ten photos.

How it works, in three steps

1. The details

Occasion, name, plan, style and language. Two minutes of clicks, with no account.

2. The story

You write freely, or let three questions guide you. Allow two more minutes, five if the memories come flooding in.

3. The lyrics before you pay, then the music

Our AI writes the lyrics and gives them to you before any payment. You read them, fix a phrase or the name, and can ask for a different text. Nobody at Tubissime proofreads on your behalf: you are the one who approves. Only then do you pay, and the composition starts. The song arrives within minutes, on its gift page.

You read the lyrics before you pay: if a word does not sound like them, now is the time to change it.

How much it costs

Three plans, one displayed price, paid once. These are launch prices, valid until 31 October 2026; from 1 November 2026 they move to €20, €32 and €52.

Getting a song written at Tubissime: price per plan, before and after 1 November 2026
PlanUntil 31 October 2026From 1 November 2026
The Single (about 2 min 30)€5€20
The Gold Record (karaoke, artwork, about 3 min 30)€8€32
The Platinum (two styles, ten photos, video, about 5 min)€13€52

What each plan includes is laid out on the pricing page. To place these prices against the rest of the market, musicians, marketplaces and other services, read how much a custom song costs.

How long it takes

The lyrics arrive during the order, before payment. Once payment goes through, the composition takes one to two minutes and the gift page opens by itself. For The Platinum, the video is prepared separately and emailed as soon as it is ready. In practice, a party on Saturday night still leaves time to order on Saturday afternoon, though we would not recommend it to the faint-hearted.

Commissioning a song from a human artist: the honest comparison

A songwriter or an independent singer is still a very good option, for different reasons. Budget €150 to €600 with a studio musician, and one to four weeks of waiting. At Songfinch, a US marketplace of human artists, prices are displayed from $179 ($199.99 according to its FAQ), with seven days as standard (checked on 17 October 2026).

What a human brings: a voice recorded by a real singer, a conversation with whoever writes, sometimes an artist's name that is part of the gift. What Tubissime brings: the price, delivery in minutes, seven languages, and control over the lyrics before you pay. What you will not get from us: an artist whose name you know, or a human voice in a studio. The full head-to-head is in Tubissime or Songfinch.

The rule fits in one sentence: if you have three weeks, the budget, and a human voice matters, go to an artist. If the party is in three days, or tomorrow, a guided music AI is built for that.

Mistakes to avoid

For a birthday, the custom birthday song page offers angles to write about and a matching demo.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be able to write to get a song written?

No. You tell the story in plain prose, as in a message to a friend, and our AI turns those memories into verses and a chorus. You then read the lyrics and correct them before you pay.

Can I change the lyrics?

Yes, before payment: you edit the text and the name freely, and you can ask for a different text. After the composition, you choose between two versions, but no lyric changes are offered.

How long does it take to receive the song?

One to two minutes after payment: the gift page opens by itself. For The Platinum, the video follows by email.

Do I need to create an account?

No, you order without an account. Just leave your email if you want to receive the link to the gift page.

Key takeaways

Getting a song written for someone takes a name, an occasion and three precise memories. At Tubissime, you read and correct the lyrics before you pay, then the song arrives within minutes, at €5, €8 or €13 until 31 October 2026, then €20, €32 and €52. A human artist costs more and takes weeks, for a recorded voice. If the date is close, start your order: the lyrics come before payment.
